German Shepherd puppies For Adoption
Dog adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog and you'll have a friend for life! Contact us, or contact another local humane society, animal shelter or SPCA.
Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:Our philosophy is “Rescue locally, place locally” which means we primarily pull dogs from shelters in the Nashville (TN) area and we prefer to place our dogs in homes within a one-hour drive of Nashville.
About Our Rescue Group:Middle Tennessee German Shepherd Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the mission of providing medical care, temperament evaluation, rehabilitation, training and placement of German Shepherd Dogs and other herding/working breeds. Our program includes dogs rescued from shelters, dogs found as strays by individuals, as well as owner-surrenders needing to be re-homed. Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, brought up-to-date on all vaccinations, are heartworm tested and micro-chipped. Our extremely high placement success rate results from carefully matching the right dog with the right family; Our goal is to provide German Shepherd Dogs permanent homes with qualified owners.
Come Meet our Pets:Our dogs are available to meet prospective adopters by appointment only.
We do not have a shelter location. We are a foster-based rescue and the dogs in our program are in various foster homes in the Nashville, TN, area.
Our Adoption Process:Our adoption process includes:
(1) submission of an adoption application which includes a request for vet references
(2) meet-and-greet with available dogs to find one that will be a compatible match with the family and existing pets
(3) home visit
(4) adoption contract and adoption fee
Our Adopted Pets:We have helped lots of pets connect with loving and caring owners. Check out our adopted pets list!
