German Shepherd Retriever mix puppies
There are so many different hybrids cross breed dogs out their today and it’s hard to keep track of all of them. It seems like every week there is a new type of designer dog that is trending. But one that seems to have a lot of merit is the German Shepherd Golden Retriever Mix. This very attractive and useful animal has caught the eye of quite a few people in recent years and for good reason.
These Dogs Make the Perfect Family Pet and Watch Dog
When it comes to alertness and loyalty to their home, you won’t find a better dog than the German Shepherd Golden Retriever Mix. This passion to protect their families is one of the strongest and most admitted traits that these dogs possess. On the other side of the coin, these dogs love to spend time relaxing with the family and can be very docile. While every dog is different most of these animals are great around children. But always keep an eye on any new dog that you bring into the home even if it seems to act ok. To be safe slowly introduce your new pet to younger children for the safety of both.
They are Full of Energy and They Love to Play in the Water
Having some of the genetic traits of the Golden Retriever these hybrids for the most part seem to love water. This will make giving them a bath easy but be warned that if they find a mud puddle they just might jump right in. If you have a pool in your backyard these pooches with be totally thrilled and it will be really fun to watch them enjoy a dip. They also love to run around at lighting speeds and a game of fetch is something they would really be happy to play. So if you purchase one of these animals make sure you have the time to give them lots of enrichment.
They are Sturdy Dogs with Not Many Health Issues
Because this cross comes from two dogs that are generally healthy breeds, these canines are very sturdy. They often live very long lives and some make it past the 14 year mark, which is great for a dog of this size. While you should always take your pets to the Vet for their yearly checkup, other than that you probably won’t have too many Vet visits with these cross breed dogs.
